Okay, did anyone else picture that purple bottle of lotion from Bath and Body Works when they heard the color "Freesia?" Please tell me I'm not alone in thinking this. I guess I always associated that lavender scent with the name so when I discovered it was actually a shade of bright yellow, according to the Pantone gods, I was really surprised. But pleasantly so! Because yellow is the color of happiness and I love me a slice of that sunshine. Apparently, however, with some research, I discovered that freesia are African flowers of bright colors, sometimes taking the form of a vibrant yellow hue (other shades include lavender--lightbulb--, red, orange, and white). Makes sense.

We've featured yellow in the past under the pseudonym "Lemon Zest" last spring, so I find it funny that they chose a very similar shade. It appears to be a bit more saturated this time.  How dramatic of you, Pantone.

Anyway, I love yellow and navy together so pairing these items together was kind of a no-brainer for me. I've only worn this skirt once so far since the my Valentine's Day haul, so I'm excited to finally wear it with bare legs! And the tank and cardigan are two staples in my closet, so it's always nice to wear them with something new.
