Black and Beige

Black Stripes Beige Scarf 1 Brrr! It's been SO cold recently! I can't even stand it. I am so not used to dressing for January weather in the middle of November. But luckily, I have a brand new knitted scarf that I purchased from my friend Laura from Forever Above Me, one of the masterminds behind Cozy Cat Crafts. I love this scarf because it's a warm snood in the perfect neutral beige.

Coat: Land's End Tank: LOFT (similar) Cardigan: Target (similar) Jeans: LOFT in Rinsed Wash Boots: JC Penney -- on sale! Belt: From an Old Navy dress (similar) Bracelet: c/o Shannon Earrings: NY & Co.  Scarf: Cozy Cat Crafts (similar)

I paired this scarf with a beige and black striped tank, black cardigan, skinny jeans, and boots (currently on sale!). I topped it off with a skinny black belt because the tank is a little voluminous and boxy. I plan on taking it in at some point, but instead of never wearing it, I'm trying to find simple solutions for my wardrobing issues.

I don't always wear all-neutral outfits, but I think they're a good go-to when you don't know what else to wear. I recently posed a question on Facebook when I was stuck about upcoming blog posts and someone suggested I discuss this particular topic. Perhaps I'll address it more head-on in the future, but I am a huge advocate for the Patterned Blouse + Cardigan + Jeans + Accessory = Successful Outfit formula. Certainly interchange the cardigan for a blazer, the jeans for cords, and change-up the accessory to fit your style, season, and occasion. If you aren't sure what color palette to go with, stick with neutrals and you can't go wrong.
