If you're a regular reader, you're probably aware that I started my "running journey" about two months ago when I began training for my first 5K, The Color Run. Having started as a complete non-runner, I didn't have a lot of running gear so I quickly stocked up on running capris and shorts. Now that the weather has changed and fall is upon us, I found that capris and shorts weren't going to cut it anymore. I really needed to find some warmer running clothes that wouldn't impede my "mad running skillz" (it's okay--you're supposed to laugh :P) and would be comfortable and cute--and I wanted to get the look for less.
Enter Everlast from Sears. I had a pair of Everlast yoga pants years ago and they were so comfortable that it was only natural that I gravitated toward this brand when searching for new workout clothes. I prefer workout gear that is sleek, can be worn in a variety of ways, and features nice colors. Have you noticed a change in your attitude when you wear cute workout gear as opposed to a baggy t-shirt and your paint pants (you know the pair)? I always feel more confident and put-together and I don't worry when I have to run an errand in those clothes.
I tried on just about every pair of pants and every top and jacket that Everlast offered at Sears and I really liked the fabrics, prints, and colors they offered. I felt comfortable, warm, and ready to run in all of them. In the end, I settled on this fabulous outfit:

Everlast Women's Athletic Pants- Colorblock in Fushia- $38.00 on sale for $19.99 Shop Your Way Points = 200 pts.
These pants are a godsend for the crisp fall and winter months when capris or leggings just won't cut it. They're advertised as a relaxed fit, but they are actually slim enough on the hips and thighs so there isn't any baggy fabric. The lining is a warm fleece, but it isn't too heavy.
Everlast Sphere Jacquard Tank in Fushia- $34.00 on sale for $14.99 Shop Your Way Points = 150 pts.
Naturally, I had to get a top that matched the pants and I stumbled across this great tank with a built in bra. I really liked the print with all of the different sized dots in vertical, flattering lines. The fabric is stretchy, but not too clingy. It will be perfect year-round.
Everlast Tech Terry Jacket in Iron- $40.00 on sale for $19.99 Shop Your Way Points = 200 pts.
I love this jacket! It's lightweight, but it will keep me warm against harsh wind. It's slim and fits snugly without being too tight. My favorite part about it, however, are the thumb holes! When you're running, you don't want to keep bothering with your sleeves, pushing them up or down, so the thumb holes are great and provide warmth. Added bonus: a zipper pouch in the back to hold your keys and ID.
If you're part of the Sears Shop Your Way Rewards program, you'd earn 550 points with this outfit alone. I am saving up my points to go toward a future purchase. Check out what else Sears has to offer on Twitter (@searsStyle) and on Facebook!
