PANTONE-Inspired Fall Color Challenge: Day 5: Acai
Okay, so I know I suck for getting this post up so late, but it's Friday and...well. The truth is that I didn't take pictures of my Acai because I was really tired and cranky the other day and so I had to take new ones in haste and they all turned out badly and then I got busy and well--enough of my sob story. This Pantone challenge has otherwise been so much fun and I have really enjoyed checking out the wonderful ladies who have linked up or participated along with Heidi and me! I'm so glad that this challenge has really expanded your views on your closets, color preferences, and pattern mixing and layering. You can check out the rest of the weeks colors:
Today's color is Acai and it's a gorgeous shade of indigo. I ended up selecting a more maroon-purple from my closet, but I think it still does the trick. I've also done some fun pattern mixing--stripes and polka dots (my two favorite).
Blouse: LOFT Outlet Cardigan: H&M Skinnys: LOFT Boots: J.C. Penney Scarf: Borrowed from Ashlie (I think Gap or Old Navy?)
On a side note, I really hate wearing my hair up for pictures. I feel like I look totally different in person. Alas, I've been having a load of bad hair days which must mean I'm due for a hair cut. I think I'm growing my hair long again, like it was in 10th grade, but I don't know if I will make it! How long do you wait in between cuts?
I also want to take the opportunity to say THANK YOU to all of the amazing participants of the challenge and also to the readers who come back every day (or every week or so) to stop by and read. These challenges really remind me what blogging is all about it and I LOVE it.
Happy Friday! Don't forget to link up your Acai looks over at Literate & Stylish today!
