PANTONE-Inspired Fall Color Challenge: Day 1: Vivacious

I'm so excited! It's the first day of the PANTONE-Inspired Fall Color Challenge that I am co-hosting with Heidi! Last spring, we hosted our first PANTONE challenge and you can check out each day by visiting these links:

Day 1: Emerald Day 2: African Violet Day 3: Lemon Zest Day 4: Linen Day 5: Poppy Red

If you're not sure how the link challenge works, you can visit the informational post here! Today's color is Vivacious, a gorgeous magenta hue. I chose this color right away when I saw it because I'm naturally drawn to vivid pinks; ironically enough, I found this was one of the harder colors for this challenge because it isn't a typical "fall color."

I chose from my collection of pink tops and settled on this silky number (I've worn it like this for work before) and paired it with a navy blazer, skinny jeans, and leopard flats. I have an overabundance of tanks and short-sleeved blouses that I carry well into fall and winter by adding a structured blazer. I think the texture of this top made it more "fall" as opposed to a bright cotton.

Blouse: H&M Blazer: Forever 21 (similar) Jeans: LOFT Outlet Flats: Payless

(I apologize for the crappy lighting.) This is pretty much another version of my Fail-Proof Outfit formula and, as usual, it continues to work really well. I'm having fun playing around with textures and pops of print here and there as well. I'm finding that it's all in the details!

So how are YOU wearing Vivacious today? Don't forget: you can participate in two ways:

  1. Link up below, grab a button, and click around to see how others have styled the color!
  2. Tag me on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and use the hashtags #pantonechallenge #vivacious

Heidi and I will be sharing our favorites throughout the week so check back! :) Thanks so much for joining us! (And if there are problems with the link-up, please be patient with us! Thanks!)
