Quack

To all of my Pittsburgh friends and readers (and probably a bunch of you from other places too), you'll understand me when I say I got the opportunity to see The Duck. Not just a duck, but THE duck. Don't know what I'm talking about? Check out the Rubber Duck's Facebook page here to learn more.

While it seems kind of silly that a 40-foot floating duck has been turned into one of the largest attractions Pittsburgh has offered, I understand its purpose. According to Brandon Getz, the duck is an art form created by Florentijn Hofman and is meant to bring people together: "It’s art for everyone, a spectacle that delights children and reconnects adults to the child within themselves." And who doesn't love a rubber duck?

Anyway, when I was home for Westminster's homecoming, I was able to spend some time with my parents and I convinced them to head into the city for a quick afternoon. I was able to get some "outfit pictures" in while we were there! BONUS. Speaking of OUTFITS, Heidi and I are hosting a challenge next week! Check out the details here!

Woo! Look how cute it is! (Also, it is impossible to get a picture without other people in it because it is so crowded! Also, I am a nerd.) Tegan and Me Pittsburgh Duck

The duck certainly brings people together and it surprisingly brought me and my friend and sister Tegan together unexpectedly! It was so cool to see her in a completely random location. Luh you. Denim Jacket Tunic Navy Cords 2 Family at the Point

I love my family :) Happy birthday to my mom today!

Denim Jacket: Old Navy Tunic: H&M (Goodwill) (similar) Cords: Banana Republic (Goodwill) Flats: Payless

I really like this outfit because it's super comfortable and the layers make it easy to adjust to the ever-changing weather patterns of the fall. I've worn this tunic style blouse about a million times on this blog, even writing its praises here. I find it goes with just about everything. I'm also a big fan of these corduroy pants because I've felt so confined by skinny jeans recently that these give me the look without the discomfort. I've already worn them here this fall. And I finally found a great classic denim jacket and have found it very versatile.
