Night on the Town
Everybody needs a good night on the town with friends. I've been really fortunate to have had a few nights out with really great friends since I moved and I remembered to take some quick snapshots before we left. Does anyone else have trouble figuring out what to wear out when your wardrobe consists mostly of professional/business casual/conservative pieces? I'm all about finding clothes that can transition from work to evening, such as a great tank that can be worn under a cardigan during the day or adding a statement necklace and more dramatic makeup.
After scrounging around my closet for several minutes, Ashlie uncovered this Francesca's number that my brother and his girlfriend got for me for my birthday two years ago! It is light, somewhat sheer, but still classy enough for my taste and I really enjoyed the color combination.
I mean, come on: polka dots AND a bow tie neckline? Love. I don't think I would ever wear this to work, unless I had a sold tank and a cardigan to wear over it, but it was the perfect dress for a summer evening on the town.

Ashlie, on the other hand, nailed the work appropriate transition into night. She wore this great summer dress with a fun statement necklace and my favorite sandals of hers.

Arianna made her blog debut a few weeks ago and I am so happy to feature her in her first "outfit post!" It was equally embarrassing and exciting to show her how nerdy I am at taking blog pictures with my silly tripod and remote, but she embraced it. That's how I know she's a good friend :P (This process doesn't even phase Ashlie, which is so reassuring!) Arianna braved the night in super cute wedge heels and this fun fitted dress.

Oh, by the way, this is Corey. He was brave enough to spend the evening with us crazy ladies and he even allowed us to take a picture. How very kind. A good time was had by all!
What are your favorite evening looks? Do you go all out or do you tend to use your every day pieces in a new way?
