PANTONE-Inspired Spring Color Challenge: Day 4: Linen

It's day four of the PANTONE-inspired challenge! You can read about the color challenge here.

Day 1: Emerald Day 2: African Violet Day 3: Lemon Zest Day 4: Linen Day 5: Poppy Red

Today's color is Linen. Out of all of the colors we chose this week, this was the most challenging for me. I am so used to bright colors that I think incorporating such a simple, yet beautiful and understated shade  seemed too safe. While the "linen" I chose is a bit darker than the original hue, I am actually really happy with the simplicity of the color.

What I really like about this color is that it seems to be an appropriate color for all of the seasons. I felt super comfortable and pretty all day.

Want to join in this Pantone-Inspired Challenge? Pick a top, bottom, accessory, or pair of shoes in the color for the day and show off your spring colors with us! We linked up to Heidi’s blog on Monday and Tuesday and will be finishing out the week here at The Modern Austen (Wednesday-Friday.)

We are so excited for this link party and encourage all of you to participate! Don’t have all of the colors? That’s okay! Just participate whenever you can. Don’t have a blog? Don’t sweat it! We’d love to see your comments of how you wore your color and you could email us your photos, too. At the end of the week, Heidi and I will pick our favorite looks from the week and feature them in a wrap-up post!
