Three Tips for Choosing a Wrap Dress

This is a quick post today because it has been a crazy week, but I wanted to show you how awesome wrap dresses can be--especially ones that don't wrinkle! Wrap dresses are flattering on everyone and super comfortable.

I do have some suggestions when choosing a wrap dress, however:

  1. Make sure there is some sort of slip or lining underneath, unless it wraps around enough. Because wrap dresses often have a large opening in the skirt, you may expose too much of your leg while sitting or walking. This is a must!
  2. Consider the neckline. Some wrap dresses fit great everywhere but the neckline. I personally am smaller on top, so many wrap dresses are too loose on the top and expose too much. In contrast, sometimes it may be too tight and pull across. This may eliminate some of your favorite wrap dresses, but fit is the most important.
  3. Choose a wrap dress that is versatile; ask yourself, "Can I wear this casually? Dressier? With accessories? With a jacket or cardigan? Does the bow get in the way?" I love this dress because the material lends itself to be dressier (it's silky), but it can be dressed down with sandals, too.

Have a great day! Oh, and don't forget to start getting ready to participate in Heidi and my's PANTONE-inspired Spring Color Challenge!
