For me, blue and gold will always have a special place in my heart, as they are my high school's colors; but even with that aside, how can you not love navy and yellow together? With this transition into full-fledged spring, I'm finding that pairing winter neutrals with spring brights and pastels is the best approach.

For example, see how I paired black pants with a baby blue cardigan (with red accessories) here. Or when I found a way to wear black and poppy red in this spring-appropriate outfit here.

I feel more comfortable keeping "warm" with these darker neutrals until I have some more color on my skin (ha!) and it's time for a more fresh, light palette.

How do you transition? Do you tend to jump in head first and wear whites and pastels with your brights right away? Or do you slowly transition? Or do you keep the same palette year round?
