I had the privilege and the exciting opportunity to head back to Westminster for the final night of Formal Recruitment to help out and spend time with my sisters. I plan on sharing my thoughts about being a Kappa Delta and a Greek woman at another time, but today I just wanted to share some of my favorite photos of the weekend.
Check out Diana from Pictures and 1000 words :)
Are my sisters beautiful or what? :) This past weekend was a great reminder to take the time to maintain relationships with people who really care--who always seem to be there in the end. While it was incredibly weird to be on the outside of the whole experience, it brought me a little bit of clarity so that I could start to find closure. It has been hard for me to realize that the amazing experiences I've had cannot continue forever, but instead I should find new ones.
Here's to hoping that the new experiences will be just as great, if not even better. Have you ever felt like the things you LOVED as a child or teen cannot ever happen the same way again and it brings you heartache? For me, it's dance, musical, camp, youth group, and my sorority. Each one of those things will never ever be the same for me, no matter what, but I wouldn't trade them for the world. I hope that I can find new experiences and activities that are just as meaningful, or find a way to bring those into my "big girl" world. What have you done to help let go?
P.S. Tomorrow is the LAST day to submit entries to my Love with Good giveaway. Enter for a chance to win a 3-month subscription box AND feed three hungry children!
