Downton Abbey Inspired Outfit Series: Week Two: Edith

Poor, poor Edith. (Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!) She never gets the spotlight or the guy. But today she gets the prime spot for this week's Downton Abbey Inspired Outfit post! Did you miss last week's post sharing a fabulous look of Mary Crawley's? Check it out here! See my other series posts--Disney Inspired Outfits--here. Edith usually wears feminine pastels and pretty frocks, probably because it makes her blend in, but I happen to think it is very understated and beautiful. I particularly love the outfit in the inspiration photo because it shows off Edith's best features and it is colorful and fresh.

Downton Abbey Inspired Outfit Series: Edith

The outfit I put together is something I'd wear in a heartbeat. It's definitely a spring outfit (maybe I'll try to recreate it in this spring?), but it's just so pretty. One of my favorite parts of Edith's outfit is the embellished hem at the top of her dress; I tried to mimic that with a floral statement necklace to spice up an otherwise boring outfit.

I chose flats for Edith because I don't see her as much of a high heel person. Do you?
Would you wear this outfit? What changes would you make to it to make it more YOU?
