Guest Post: Fall Fashion

Hi everyone! I am so excited to feature my good friend and sister Diana from Pictures and a Thousand Words today! She will be sharing a fabulous fall outfit with us and how she achieved that look. Make sure you take a minute to visit her blog and say hi!

Funny story, Diana facebook friended me before we even met! She was good friends with my soon-to-be college roommate Ali and when she found out who I was, she made sure she got to know me. We later met at band camp and then became sorority sisters :) The rest is history!

Hello readers of The Modern Austen! I am Diana from pictures and a thousand words and am so excited to do a guest post for Marissa! She and I met in college four years ago and have been great friends ever since (doesn't hurt that we became sorority sisters). My blog is about my everyday fashion, with a mix of food, life, and music in there too. I am a dance teacher and a substitute for the local school district and my husband is a fourth year medical student, currently doing rotations at possible hospitals for residency. Now that you know a little about me, here's my outfit of the day!
Today's outfit has inspiration. I am so excited for fall. It is my favorite season. What isn't there to love about cooler temperatures that are perfect for sweaters, scarves, jeans, boots, and sweatshirts, football season, anything with apples and pumpkins like apple crisp, candles, and pumpkin spice lattes, and the beautiful colors that leaves change to?! So anyway, I've been doing a lot of pinning on pinterest of perfect outfits for the cooler temperatures of fall. I came across this picture of Reese Witherspoon and loved the look. I made two little changes - to wear my new grey boots instead of brown, and dark navy skinny jeans instead of navy cords. I really can't wait for the temperature to get out of the 80s so I can wear it... outside and not just in my air conditioned apartment :)

Are you ready to dress for fall? Most of my back to school shopping purchases were made with cooler temperatures in mind, so I am ready! I'd love to have you visit my blog and check out more upcoming fall outfits! Thanks to Marissa for having me over here today!
