I know it's pretty late, but hey, I've been busy ;) Here's what I've been up to this past week!
Aaron played in a pit orchestra for the summer dramatics program in his town so I saw a performance of Guys and Dolls on Saturday! Surprisingly enough, this was the first time I saw this show and thought the kids did a wonderful job.
On Sunday, I headed to my new school district for three days of Springboard training? Do any of your schools use Springboard? If so, message me! I'd love to talk and share ideas. I stayed at a hotel for three nights and went out to dinner on my own a lot. Here I am watching the Olympics in Damon's on the big screen. I felt less awkward about sitting by myself ;)
During my free time, I walked around my new town. It is so charming and lovely! Check out this historic museum...isn't it great? Gotta love Victorian towns.
While I was on my own in the evenings, I tried a lot of new restaurants. Here is a picture in the Governor's Pub.
One of the highlights of my trip was seeing my classroom for the first time! I have so much to do to make it functional, but I'm really happy with it.
I'm one of those people who like to get their value out of everything (life lesson #12350239820 from my parents). So, I spent some time at the hotel pool AND I even worked out on the elliptical for a full TWENTY MINUTES! (I know, I'm hard core ;)...)
Looks like I'll be a Red Raider from now on! Fun fact: my high school's mascot is a Talbot and I can guarantee that 99.99% of you don't know what that is! I'll take guesses in the comments :P
I have no words for how good this makes me feel.
Hope you all had a great week! I know I did!
